A. Poythress is in their second year at Columbia College Chicago working towards an MFA in creative writing. They primarily write horror and fantasy stories about queer folk and women, although sometimes they write overly personal creative non-fiction.

When they're not writing, they're usually working on carving lino blocks to reproduce the nightmares they envision on a day-to-day basis. They hope to incorporate the prints they make with their fiction at some point in the future.
