Stuff and Things

Hello! There are several announcements I need to make!

First and foremost: I now have an Etsy shop where you can buy hand printed illustrations! There are currently eight prints up to choose from. Please stop by and pick up a creepy image, if it strikes your fancy!

Secondly: the last of my current publications are now up! If you go to Publications, there are links to all of them. Also, my flash story “the big peel” is available for purchase in print in Jitter’s 7th Volume! If you would like to physically hold my words in your hands, feel free to pick up a copy!

Thanks so much to those of you who continue to support both my writing and my block carving. :)

Hello. I’ve got two updates which you might be interested in.

Update the First: I have new prints up in the “illustrations” portion of the website. I’ve been working on higher complexity and detailed images, and have upgraded my tools to give better, sharper carves. I’m really happy with how they’re turning out, especially my largest carving—”deer skull with finger bones”. I’m considering setting up a shop to sell prints, if any interest actually crops up.

Update the Second: My second fiction piece, “idle hands” is now up on Asymmetry Fiction. I’m very happy with this one, and I hope you enjoy it, too! My third fiction piece will be up by the end of the month and I will post another update about that, then.

Other than that, I continue on as a second year MFA candidate. My writing is getting stronger and my carving, creepier. I hope to have many more announcements and updates in the coming months.

Thank you so much for your support!

story time

I am proud to announce that my first short story, titled "bite", is now available at The Future Fire! I'm both happy and excited that this is my first piece to be published. It's about a girl who bites her lip and the consequences of that action.

This piece was the first "complete movement" I wrote for my MFA program, in the first workshop I took. That means it's one of the oldest pieces I have from this new writing renaissance of mine. I'm glad it's about a girl who realizes that some things shouldn't be held back, no matter how scary it is to say them out loud. I'm still learning that.

I am so motivated to continue and get even more things published! This will be my Summer of Publishing, as long as I have any say in it!

I hope you read it and enjoy it. Thanks so much.
